A Maze/迷詩

A Maze

Everything must be decided? Or it's by chance?
What can I do in this life as a tiny existence?
I have to quit thinking anymore? I should do dance?
Like Haruki's characters... But I do this for a resistance

A Japanese proverb says we should sit upon a stone
And wait for something three years. This one is well known
I think about these pieces of my poem. I am stubborn
But I can't stop thinking how there have been grown

I read Szymborska's poem. She had written about love
At that time I was just listening to "Hand in Glove"
Their words were really powerful. I was stunned as a dove

But my poems tend to become complicated like a maze
Although some friends say to me "You have a nice phrase"
Where is my Muse? Is she still sending me a graceful gaze?

迷詩

あらかじめ決まっているのか、それとも偶然なのか
か弱き葦として、ぼくには何ができるのか
もう考えない方がいいのだろうか。踊った方がマシなのかな
村上春樹の世界のように……でもぼくは抵抗を続ける

日本のことわざは言う。「石の上にも三年」と
待ち続ければ裏切られない。よく知られたことわざだ
こんな詩のかけらについて考えている。ぼくはガンコだから
でもかけらがどうやって育つのか、ずっと興味が尽きることはない

シンボルスカの詩を読んだんだ。愛に関する1編の詩
その時ぼくはザ・スミス「ハンド・イン・グローブ」を聴いてた
彼らの言葉はとても力強い。鳩のように「ほー」と唸った

でもぼくの詩は迷路のように複雑になる
友だちは言うんだけどね。「いいフレーズがあるね」と
ああ、ぼくのミューズはいずこへ。まだぼくを慈悲深く見つめてるのかな
