At a café, we enjoyed some songs of David Byrne
Suddenly she asked to me, "Hey, why do you learn?"
I thought of so many answers. To grow up, or to earn
Time passed and it became another song's turn

I could answer this, "I learn things to go to the quest"
I've enjoyed various classes as a student and a guest
Anytime, every moment, I learn something from them. I do my best
And at my nest, my home's room, I watch anime girls' breast

Like David Byrne does, I try to imagine a great and heavenly place
I guess it must exist, therefore I learn English with my briefcase
You might ask to me "On learning English, what is our first base?"

How can I answer? I won't say English is easy-peasy
But you don't need to treat your English as being cheesy
How about listening to great English songs like Eazy-E?

カフェでぼくたちはデヴィッド・バーンの曲を聴いてた
突然彼女が訊いた。「ねえ、どうして勉強するの？」
たくさんの答えを思いついた。成長するため、稼ぐため
時間が過ぎて、別の曲が流れる番になった

こう答えたらよかった。「探求の旅に出たいから学ぶんだ」
生徒として、客人としてさまざまなクラスに参加する
いつだって、どんな時もそこから学ぶ。ベストを尽くす
そしてぼくのねぐらである部屋では、アニメの女の子たちのおっぱいを見る

デヴィッド・バーンにならって、ぼくもすごい、天国のような場所を想像する
それはあると思う。だからブリーフケース片手にぼくは英語を学ぶ
きみは訊くだろう。「英語を学ぶにあたって、最初にどうしたらいい？」

どう答えられるだろう？ ぼくは英語が簡単だとは言わない
でも、きみはきみ自身の英語がダサいと思い込む必要はない
イージー・Ｅのような偉大な英語の曲を聴いてみたらどうだろう？
