We're Friends

Once I went to a bookstore. It was a fine day
I bought a book and paid the money on the tray
The book was about two boys went into the milky way
Riding on a train... and they start traveling away

After reading that one, I looked up the sky
I started crying... and I could explain the reason why
I had to live this life even though I must die
Then why can't we say "We're friends now, so let's go to fly"

And now I start reading that story again. It is so divine
If I finish it, I want to share the review via the app LINE
I can't hide my thought even if I would step on a land mine

Giovanni and Campanella... Where were they from?
I notice I've never asked this so I must be a dumb
My friend would answer this with his favorite chewing gum?

以前にぼくは本屋に行った。晴れた日のことだ
1冊の本を買って、トレーにお金を置いた
その本は銀河に行った2人の少年の話
鉄道に乗って……そして彼らは旅に出たのだ

その本を読み終えて、ぼくは空を見上げた
泣いてしまったけれど、その理由はわかっている
死んでしまうというのに、ぼくはこの生を生きるしかない
だったらなぜ言えないんだろう。「ぼくらは友だち、一緒に行こう」と

そして今、その神聖な話を読み返す
読み終えてしまったら、LINEで感想をシェアしたい
地雷を踏むかもしれないけれど、この思いは隠し切れない
